The phone login allows the user to access the Wi-Fi by providing their phone address.
It is recommended:
- to show your brand in the customized splash page using the captive portale
- to show advertisements before/after the splash page or if you want to provide information about who's sponsoring the public hotspot
- to collect phone numbers, but you don't need to get other information about the Wi-Fi clients
- to configure an easy authentication process
It is not recommended:
- If you want to boost the social engagement
- If you need to collect email addresses or other information
HOW TO CONFIGURE PHONE LOGIN
STEP 1
Access to the Splash Page Editor >> Click on the "+" on the top-left of the Editor, drag and drop a login button
STEP 2
Click on the login button (that will represent, by default, Facebook Login) >> Select the Method "Phone" in the right menu
STEP 3
Customize text and style of the button from the right menu
EXAMPLE:
This is an example of guitar shop's splash page:
By clicking on the phone login button, the country code selector will propose your country or give the option to select the correct one from the list.
NOTE
The default country prefix is automatically taken from the IP.
If it fails, it falls back to America
