In order to provide a SSL certificate to your Tanaza White Label splash page, there are several ways and websites.
Since not all of the certificates are accepted equally from all the browsers, we suggest you here below a procedure to get the certificates that work 100% with Tanaza.
At the end of the procedure, you just need to contact our support team (through the link
Contact Support) and open a Case, like:
Case Reason: Tech question/issue
Subject: SSL Certificate for the splash.mydomain.com
Attaching the requested filed (see below).
Once received, the procedure usually takes about a couple of working days.
These are the main steps of the procedure:
You need now to get your .CSR and .KEY files for your certificate. There are several ways, both to be run locally or online (usually faster). We will now describe the online method.
STEP 1
Go to Online CSR and Key Generator, fill all the required field, then click on "Generate".
WARNING
The Common Name (required) must be your splash page URL (e.g. splash.mydomain.com).

STEP 2
In the popup you will see the content of your .CSR and .KEY file.
Download them (or copy the content into a plain text editor, like Notepad, and save them with their respective file extensions .CSR and .KEY)

STEP 1
Login / Sign up on
Gandi.net
STEP 2
On the personal dashboard click on "
SSL Certificates"
STEP 3
Choose the "
Standard" certificate
STEP 4
On the step named
Where choose "
Somewhere Else"
STEP 5
On the step named
Type choose "
Standard" and "
Single address", then click on the "
Next" button
STEP 6
On the next step, called
CSR, paste the content of the file .CSR you've got in
Part One of this document (you can open the file with any text editor).
CAUTION
Check always that the "Common name (CN)" reports the same domain used for the splash page.
STEP 7
In the Validation method step, Select "DNS"and click on "Add to shopping cart"

STEP 8
You will se something similar to the image below, with your username marked with a red X.

Just click on the little pencil on the right and compiled all of the required fields.

After that, you should see the same page without a red cross, and you can click on the "Continue" button.
STEP 9
Now you are ready to check out. In the Shopping Cart section, don't forget to accept the contract terms.

At this point, in the following section called
Payment, you are able to choose your favorite payment method.

And in the last section, called
Confirmation, you will get the status of your order.

At this point you will be able to see your order status, into your dashboard, SSL Certificates section.
To continue with the process, please add the record into your CNAME, as reported into this page.
WARNING
Please add the CNAME without your domain included!
Example:
_0987654321234567890987654321.splash.mydomain.com
IN CNAME
098123875612309813245089712345.12341234.something.com
DO NOT include the part ".splash.mydomain.com"

Until the step which involves the Domain Validation (to refresh this step it could take a while)

STEP 1
Is now necessary to verify that you have the full agreement of the domain's owner to use the SSL certificate for the domain. From Gandi's order status page, you should be able to see the instructions to validate your certificate by DNS.
More info here: DCV (Domain Control Validation).
STEP 2
Once validated your certificate, you should be able to download it, as reported here: How to get your SSL Certificate.
Copy and paste the certificate into any plain text editor (e.g. notepad) and save the file with the .CRT extension, like
splash.mydomain.com.crt
STEP 3
It's now needed to get the Intermediate certificate, as described here: Retrieving the Gandi Intermediate Certificate
This certificate is needed so that your visitors can validate the trust chain all the way back to the root certificate.
You can easily send the files to Tanaza contacting our support team (through the link Contact Support) opening a new Case, like this:
Case Reason: Tech question/issue
Subject: SSL Certificate for the splash.mydomain.com
Attaching the requested filed (see below).
The files needed are:
- your .CSR file you obtained in Part One
- the .KEY file you obtained in Part One
- the Intermediate .CRT (or .PEM) file you obtained in Part Three
Once received, the procedure usually takes about a couple of working days.
