The "Remember me" feature allows automatic re-login for returning users to the same SSID associated to one o more APs on the same network. This means that if a user connects to a SSID, then he disconnects and comes back to the same SSID, on the previous AP or another one, he will be recognized automatically.
How to enable Remember Me
In order to enable the "Remember Me" feature on your SSID, please follow these steps:
STEP 1
Go to your Classic Hotspot Cloud account and click on Hotspots
STEP 2
Click "SSID" on the top-right , then choose the SSID where enable the feature and click on the gear icon; "Configure SSID"
STEP 3
Enable Remember Me by clicking on the related switch.
STEP 4
Configure the Remember Me settings in this way:
REMEMBER USER FOR: how long the login information have to be remembered by the system.
ACTION: what action occurs when a user logs back to the SSID.
Show "Welcome Back" Splash Page
The "Welcome Back" message will appear and user can connect again to the network, with the last credentials previously used within the splash page.
NOTE: By clicking on the "Forget Me" link you will reset the "Remember Me" for your device, its logon information will be deleted and you will need to log in again via Splash Page.
Auto-login without Splash Page
User can connect again without seeing the "Welcome Back" page.
STEP 5
Clicking on "Save" button will update the configuration.
NOTE The "Remember me" authentication is registered in Connections and Users tab in your Dashboard and it appears with a reload symbol.
