The "Terms and Conditions" component allows asking to the Wi-Fi user to accept specific conditions in order to access to the Internet through the Splash Page.

It allows adding one or multiple conditions that can be accepted independently.

They can be either mandatory or optional.

Usually optional conditions are added to get authorization to send newsletters or marketing communications by third parties, in accordance to privacy laws (e.g. GDPR). 




How to configure Terms&Conditions

STEP 1

Access the Splash Page Editor (check How to access the new splash page editor) and drag and drop any number of "Terms & Conditions" check boxes.

 



 

STEP 2

Access to the left panel and  customize your component choosing the text size, color, and so on.
You will write there your specific text of condition enabling or not the acceptance.

In the example below we selected two options:

1. the first used to force the user to accept our T&C in order to login:

2. the second one is an optional choice:

Using this configuration, if a user will skip both fields, only one will trigger the warning message, preventing the user from access the Internet.

STEP 3

The "Terms & Conditions" information are stored in your Social Dashboard, accessing the specific user, through the Users tab.

If you want to check which options the user accepted, click selected user  profile first, then "Accepted Conditions" button.

In this way is possible to see the list of all conditions accepted or not by the user.

NOTE
The Condition field in "Accepted Conditions" matches the acceptance status of the Splash page editor, each label will be configured by the Text field of the related Terms & Conditions into the Splash page Editor.

 

CAUTION
If the Multi-language option is selected, is needed to configure the related text for each language added, otherwise the default Terms & Conditions text will be used.

In the Splash page, the user will only have to select the desired language, to see the related Terms & Condition text.
