How to allow customers to edit Splash Pages and view Social Dashboard data

You can let your customers manage their Splash Pages, so they can change any detail of them, like background image or advertisements, without the need to share your cloud  management.

These are different cases to describe how to enable one of your customers to edit his own Splash Page: 
 

A - Your customer never used the Classic Hotspot Dashboard & the Splash Page Editor

B - Your customer has permissions to see view Wi-Fi client statistics and to configure the SSID settings but he hasn't editor account

C - Your customer has a Classic Hotspot Dashboard account with CONFIGURE SSID permission, and he wants to SEE/EDIT/CLONE a Splash Page

D - Your customer  has a Classic Hotspot Dashboard Account and  permissions to View Wi-Fi Client Analytics but no permissions to Configure SSID Settings

 




 

A - Your customer  never used the Classic Hotspot Dashboard & the Splash Page Editor

STEP 1

Get access to your SSID configuration and click on the "Add Collaborators" button.

STEP 2

Assign you costumer email address and choose a name for future reference.

Select which Action you want to activate for this customer, from the available list.

To apply the configuration, click on the Add/Edit Rule first:

In the end, save your changes:

Customer will receive an email inviting to login on the Classic Hotspot Dashboard, similar to the one below:

STEP 3

Once your customer receives the invitation email he can login to the Classic Hotspot Dashboard as instructed and proceed with the Splash Page editing or creating a new one.


 

STEP 4

this is what the customer now has to do once logged into the Social Dashboard.

Click on "SSID" upper right corner, then select on the gear icon (User-added image), to choose "Configure SSID" .

STEP 5

Customer can now choose form the left "Splash Page" (1)  and then "Create a new page" (2)

STEP 6

A new browser window/tab will open with the Splash Page Editor. From there customer should choose "Create New" and proceed with the creation of the Splash Page and edit it's elements.

STEP 7

After editing the new Splash Page customer should press "Publish"

After publishing customer can return to the Classic Hotspot Dashboard and assign the Splash Page to the SSID in this way.

Click on "SSID" upper right corner, then select on the gear icon (User-added image), to choose "Configure SSID" .

From here customer can either choose "Edit" to edit the existent Splash Pages or Create a new one.
Also he can choose between existing pages to associate to the SSID.









 

B - Your customer has permissions to see view Wi-Fi client statistics and to configure the SSID Settings but he hasn't editor account

STEP 1

Access your Splash Page Editor From your  Classic Hotspot Cloud account.

STEP 2

Once you are at the Splash Page Editor you can proceed to the list of existing Splash Pages by clicking on the upper left corner in the arrow pointing left:

STEP 3

Now you can choose which Splash Page you want to add a collaborator to just by hoovering your mouse over the wanted Splash Page and clicking on the icon with the dots ("...")

And select "Add collaborator"

Insert the collaborator Email and choose the permission level.


 

STEP 5

Your customer will receive an email and he will be able to access the Splash Page Editor.

NOTE: A username creation and password will be mandatory when your customer accesses the Editor

STEP 6

After a successful login creation, your customer will be directed to the Splash Page editor and will be able to edit, clone or remove Splash Pages

In the end the Splash Page should be Published.


 

STEP 7

In order to provide access to the user invited for collaboration to access Social Dashboard, please add permissions using your customers email from the Classic Hotspot Cloud Dashboard.

3 - Assign Actions
4 - Press "Add/Edit Rule"


The end user will receive an email confirming this operation:

C - Your customer has a Classic Hotspot Dashboard account with CONFIGURE SSID permission, and he wants to SEE/EDIT/CLONE a Splash Page

STEP 1

Costumer logs in on http://dashboard.tanaza.com


 

STEP 2

Opens SSID configuration panel

And then on the Splash Page Tab

STEP 3

your customer can now:

- change the splash page that assigned to the ssid that he is allowed to configure
- access the editor to create/edit a splash page and assign it to the SSID 









 

4. Your customer has a Classic Hotspot Dashboard Account and he has permissions to View Wi-Fi Client Analytics but no permissions to Configure SSID Settings

STEP 1

Customer logs in to Classic Hotspot Dashboard and proceed to SSID configuration

STEP 2

Customer finds the SSID in Read Only mode.

In this case, your customer should ask you for permission to be allowed to Edit a Splash page.

You can refer to this Step in order to allow a customer to Edit Splash Pages within Social Dashboard.
